Paneer Makhana Kofta Curry / Paneer Makhani Kofta Recipe

Paneer Makhani Kofta Recipe is made by using paneer and makhana ball dip in spicy gravy curry, garnish with coriander leaves. It is very delicious and tasty curry. It is perfect side dish with roti or rice or paratha.

Ingredients:

For Curry:—– –

  • Finely Chopped Tomato – 2 medium
  • Poppy Seed – 1/4 cup
  • Kaju Pieces – 11-12 nos.
  • Grated Ginger – 1 inch
  • Garlic Cloves – 1/2 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion – 1 big
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Chopped Green Chili – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves – 2-3 tbsp
  • Curd – 1/4 cup

For Kofta:— –

  • Grated Paneer – 11/2 cup
  • Makhana (fried and make a coarsely powder) – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped Green Chili – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Cumin Seed Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Grated Ginger – 1/2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tbsp

Instructions:

  • For making kofta:— -In a bowl, add paneer, makhana, green chili, salt, cumin powder, ginger and red chili powder, mix well.
  • Make small balls and press it tightly and then shape into ball.
  • Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying on medium heat, add paneer-makhana ball.
  • Fry it till the ball turns little golden brown and keep aside.
  • For making curry:—
  • In a grinder, add poppy seed, kaju, ginger, garlic, green chili and onion, make a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium flame, add ground paste and fry it till oil separate on the top.
  • Add coriander powder, turmeric powder and red chili powder, mix well.
  • Add tomato and cumin powder, mix well, cover and cook for 4-5 min.
  • Add curd, mix well and cook for 5-6 min.
  • Add garam masala, salt and water, boil it.
  • Add fried kofta and cook it till curry becomes thick.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot paneer makhani kofta curry with roti/paratha/rice.
