Palak Paneer Kofta Curry / Palak Paneer Kofta

Palak Paneer Kofta Curry is a delicious Punjabi style gravy. Palak Paneer Kofta are tiny koftas made with paneer, palak, besan and cooked in tomato-onion-milk base gravy. Palak Paneer Kofta is extremely delicious and healthy recipe. You can serve with naan or roti.

Ingredients:

For Kofta:—- –

  • Paneer – 2 cup
  • Palak (Spinach) – 2 cup
  • Ginger – 1 tbsp
  • Besan Flour – 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Dry Mango Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Oil for Deepfrying –

For Curry:—— –

  • Garlic-Ginger Paste – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seed – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Onion – 11/2 cup
  • Chopped Green Chili – 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Tomato – 1 cup
  • Chopped Kaju – 3 tbsp
  • Chopped Almond – 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Powder – 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Milk – 1 cup
  • Garam Masala – 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) – 2-3 tbsp

Instructions:

  • For making kofta:— In a bowl, add paneer, palak, ginger, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt and dry mango powder, mix well.
  • Add besan and mix well.
  • Divide into 12 equal parts and roll between your palm and make smooth small balls.
  • Heat the oil in a pan for deep frying on medium heat, add balls and cook it till they turn golden brown and keep them aside.
  • For making curry:— Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat, add ginger-garlic paste, green chili, cumin seed and onion, fry for 3-4 min.
  • Add tomato, kaju, almond, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chili powder, mix well.
  • Add milk and cook for 3-4 min, allow to cool.
  • In a grinder, add cooked mixture and make puree.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium heat, add grinded mixture and cook for 4-5 min.
  • Add water and boil it for 4-5 min.
  • Add garam masala and coriander leaves, mix well and cook it till curry becomes thick.
  • Add fried kofta and cook for 4-5 min.
  • Serve hot palak paneer kofta curry with roti/paratha/rice.
