Sweet Sevai Recipe / Sevai Kheer / Vermicelli Kheer

Sweet Sevai Recipe is a popular Sweet Dish. Vermicelli or sevai cooked in milk and sugar, garnish with kaju, almond  and raisins. You can serve this sweet dish after lunch or dinner. You can make in any festivals or celebrations.

Ingredients:

  • Vermicelli/Sevai – 1 cup
  • Milk – 1 Ltrs.
  • Sugar – 1/2 cup
  • Chopped Kaju – 2 tbsp
  • Chopped almond – 2 tbsp
  • Raisins – 2 tbsp
  • Desi Ghee ( clarified butter) – 2 tbsp

Instructions:

  • Heat the ghee in a pan on medium flame, add kaju, kishmish and almond.
  • Fry it till turns little golden brown and keep aside.
  • Heat the ghee in a pan on low flame, add sevai.
  • Fry it till turns little golden brown and keep aside.
  • Boil the milk for 15 min. or till it becomes little thicker and keep stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  • Add the fried sevai.
  • Add the sugar and cook for 5 more minutes.
  • Garnish with fried dry fruits.
  • Serve hot or chilled sweet sevai.
