DRY FRUIT CHIKKI RECIPE

Dry Fruit Chikki Recipe / Dry Fruits Brittle

Dry Fruit Chikki Recipe is made by using almond, kaju, miggi, coconut, makhana and sugar syrup. It is very tasty, delicious and crunchy chikki.

Ingredients:

  • Almond-Badam ( cut into halves) – 1/2 cup
  • Kaju-Cashew Nut (cut into halves) – 1/2 cup
  • Miggi-Magaz-Musk Melon Seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Grated Coconut – 1/4 cup
  • Makhana-Lotus Seed – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 11/2 cup
  • Desi Ghee – 7 tbsp

Instructions:

  • Heat the 3 tbsp of ghee in a pan on medium flame, add makhana.
  • Roast it till they turns little golden brown, keep aside and allow to cool.
  • Cut the roasted makhana into 2 or 3 part and keep aside.
  • Heat the 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan on medium flame, add grated coconut.
  • Roast it till turns they little golden brown, keep aside and allow to cool.
  • Heat the 2 tbsp of ghee in a pan on medium flame, add miggi and roast it till turns little golden brown, keep aside and allow to cool.
  • Heat the 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan on medium flame, add sugar and 1/2 cup of water, keep mixing well till the sugar melts.
  • Add the almond, kaju, fried coconut, fried makhana and fried miggi mix well.
  • Take the mixture in a spoon and pour in a well greased plate.
  • Spread the little saffron stands and press the top level lightly and grease the roller with ghee and roll out the mixture increasing its size in the same shape.
  • Mark the chikki into square or diamond shape you want while its still hot and pieces can be broken in the same shapes.
  • Store the dry fruit chikki in an airtight jar.
