Rice Pakora Recipe Rice pakora recipe is an easy to make and instant Indan snack recipe. Rice pakora is made by using cooked rice, salt, green chili, ginger, dry mango powder, red chili powder and coriander leaves, dip in spicy gram flour batter and then deep fry it. You can enjoy it during evening snacks with tea. It can also be taken as a starter or appetizer with green or coriander or tomato ketchup.

Ingredients:

For Rice Ball:—

  • Cooked Rice – 2 cup
  • Salt as per taste –
  • Chopped Green Chili – 2 nos.
  • Grated Ginger – 1/4 tbsp
  • Dry Mango Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander Leaves – 1 tbsp

For Batter:—-

  • Red Chili Powder – 1/4 tbsp
  • Besan or Gram flour – 1 cup
  • Coriander Powder – 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Oil for frying –

Instructions:

  • For making rice ball:— In a bowl, add cooked rice, salt, green chili, ginger, dry mango powder, red chili powder and coriander leaves, mix well.
  • Take out a small portion from the mixture equal to the size of lemon and press it with both hands and flatten it.
  • Make as many such balls from the mixture and keep them on a plate.
  • For making batter:— In a bowl, add gram flour, salt, red chili powder and coriander powder, make a batter of the mixture by adding water into it and whisk the mixture with a spoon for 5-7 min.
  • Heat the oil in a pan on medium flame, take one rice ball and dip it into the batter.
  • Slide the pakora.
  • Fry it till both sides turns little golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot crispy rice pakoda with coriander chutney or tomato ketchup.
